It's hard to think - to comprehend what's going on right now. Everything is as it was, yet everything feels to have shifted subtly. Maybe it's us who have changed. The fear for my family, and beyond them my fellow Americans, is real. It's difficult to breathe.

I have to believe we will get through this, but not before darker songs have been sung.
